His career began with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech where he received a foundation in architecture.

Amy King

Chief Cultural Officer

Amy began with a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wesleyan College; after evaluating job opportunities at that time, she later changed her route with her profession and completed her graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. With three years of experience in private practice, she focused on pediatric therapy, acute care, and home health, exemplifying a strong commitment to patient rehabilitation.

Ambling. His career began with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech where he received a foundation in architecture. In the subsequent years, Kevin was able to work on private and government projects, developing lifelong relationships and a distinct vision for building teams, establishing programs and adhering to budgets. At Ambling Property Investments, Kevin was able to leverage his expertise to drive innovative development strategies and lead projects that enhance community living and growth. His background in design uniquely positions him to understand the intricate details and overarching vision required in real estate development. Kevin’s career has been deeply influenced by his commitment to service and seeking a Kingdom Impact. His passions include serving as a board member for several organizations, including The Mailbox Club for 16 years, the Mite Organization for 8 years, the South Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, and Proverbs 31 Ministries. These roles have allowed Kevin to blend his professional skills with his passion for mentorship and community support. Kevin is driven by a deep-seated passion to encourage and empower others to discover and fulfill their purpose, both personally and professionally.

He values loyalty and integrity in all aspects of life. His mission is to inspire and lead with a vision that aligns with creating meaningful, impactful developments while fulfilling God’s purpose in our work and lives. Kevin’s greatest role is husband to Amy, and together they are excited to see how their three daughters use their gifts and talents as they complete their education and launch their careers. Thompson Gooding

Mr. Gooding has spent 20 years in the real estate and development industry, experiencing many different aspects of the business from managing small rural apartment projects to overseeing 50+ million student housing development projects for large public universities.

Nearly half of his career has been spent at Ambling, including time as both a principal and division president, managing the day to day activities of its subsidiary Park Terrace Development. In this capacity, Thompson led the development of both owned asset and third-party consulting projects, largely focusing on the affordable housing sector. Prior to establishing Park Terrace Development, Thompson has led the southeastern regional efforts of an affordable housing developer based in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, Thompson was responsible for the entire development process from market and site selection to completion and submitting applications for Low Income Housing Tax Credits and continuing to lead projects to closing and beyond. He was successful in securing 9% competitive and 4% bond LIHTCs, conventional and tax-exempt debt, and historic tax credits for projects. Other previous experience for Thompson includes nearly seven years and over $100 million in development in student housing and other auxiliary student facilities, and a brief foray into renewable energy generation. Thompson Gooding received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction (Construction Management) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Certificate of Engineering Entrepreneurship from the same institution.

Amy began with a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wesleyan College; after evaluating job opportunities at that time, she later changed her route with her profession and completed her graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. With three years of experience in private practice, she focused on pediatric therapy, acute care, and home health, exemplifying a strong commitment to patient rehabilitation.

From 1998 to 2022, Amy had the honor of mentoring and homeschooling her daughters through Classical Conversations for 10 years. During those years Amy worked as a Support Manager for Classical Conversations for five years, expanding the homeschool community to three facilities and over 150 students while leading a 9th-grade class for three years. Amy at that same time moved into a leadership role with their family office creating new processes and as Chair of the Family Office Twelve Oaks Investment Committee, she oversees corporate governance and is responsible for preserving and growing assets according to each client’s Investment Policy Statement. Additionally, she serves the Griffin Family Foundation, focusing on intentional funding to nonprofits aligned with their giving policy. Since 2010, Amy has been an active member of the Proverbs 31 Ministry Board of Directors, serving as Chairman, on the Finance Committee, and as a member of the Donor Development and Board Development Committees. She is also an advisory member of the Mite Organization. With expertise in investing, leadership, team building, and problemsolving, Amy is passionate about making a meaningful impact in both personal and professional arenas.
