His career began with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech where he received a foundation in architecture.

Mr. Gooding has spent 20 years in the real estate and development industry, experiencing many different aspects of the business from managing small rural apartment projects to overseeing 50+ million student housing development projects for large public universities.

Amy King

Chief Cultural Officer

Amy began with a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wesleyan College; after evaluating job opportunities at that time, she later changed her route with her profession and completed her graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. With three years of experience in private practice, she focused on pediatric therapy, acute care, and home health, exemplifying a strong commitment to patient rehabilitation.

Michael Williams

Assistant Project Manager

Michael Williams joined Ambling as a development intern at the beginning of 2023. During his time with the company, he gained valuable experience working on large market-rate multifamily and senior housing projects.

As Vice President of Investment Management, Tim is responsible for the identification, acquisition, and development of real estate investment opportunities. He oversees the financial analysis, underwriting, valuations, and due diligence during the development and/or acquisition/disposition process.

Travis graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 2018. He began his career in the affordable housing industry with Oracle Consulting Services, where he specialized in site selection.

Kevin King

His career began with a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech where he received a foundation in architecture.

In the subsequent years, Kevin was able to work on private and government projects, developing lifelong relationships and a distinct vision for building teams, establishing programs and adhering to budgets. At Ambling Property Investments, Kevin was able to leverage his expertise to drive innovative development strategies and lead projects that enhance community living and growth. His background in design uniquely positions him to understand the intricate details and overarching vision required in real estate development. Kevin’s career has been deeply influenced by his commitment to service and seeking a Kingdom Impact. His passions include serving as a board member for several organizations, including The Mailbox Club for 16 years, the Mite Organization for 8 years, the South Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America, and Proverbs 31 Ministries. These roles have allowed Kevin to blend his professional skills with his passion for mentorship and community support. Kevin is driven by a deep-seated passion to encourage and empower others to discover and fulfill their purpose, both personally and professionally.

He values loyalty and integrity in all aspects of life. His mission is to inspire and lead with a vision that aligns with creating meaningful, impactful developments while fulfilling God’s purpose in our work and lives. Kevin’s greatest role is husband to Amy, and together they are excited to see how their three daughters use their gifts and talents as they complete their education and launch their careers. Now leading BLDG Real Estate, Kevin draws on three decades in design, consulting, and development to lead end-to-end execution—from market identification and site selection to financing (USDA, LIHTC, HUD, tax-exempt) and asset management—building communities that thrive. His architect’s eye and stewardship mindset ensure every project aligns with BLDG’s mission and delivers lasting value.

Thompson Gooding

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Gooding has spent 20 years in the real estate and development industry, experiencing many different aspects of the business from managing small rural apartment projects to overseeing 50+ million student housing development projects for large public universities.

Nearly half of his career has been spent at Ambling, including time as both a principal and division president, managing the day to day activities of its subsidiary Park Terrace Development. In this capacity, Thompson led the development of both owned asset and third-party consulting projects, largely focusing on the affordable housing sector. Prior to establishing Park Terrace Development, Thompson has led the southeastern regional efforts of an affordable housing developer based in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, Thompson was responsible for the entire development process from market and site selection to completion and submitting applications for Low Income Housing Tax Credits and continuing to lead projects to closing and beyond. He was successful in securing 9% competitive and 4% bond LIHTCs, conventional and tax-exempt debt, and historic tax credits for projects. Other previous experience for Thompson includes nearly seven years and over $100 million in development in student housing and other auxiliary student facilities, and a brief foray into renewable energy generation. Thompson Gooding received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction (Construction Management) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Certificate of Engineering Entrepreneurship from the same institution. Thompson is excited about the merging of the development and consulting side of BLDG Real Estate to better serve the need of the development community. 

Amy King

Chief Cultural Officer

Amy began with a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wesleyan College; after evaluating job opportunities at that time, she later changed her route with her profession and completed her graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. With three years of experience in private practice, she focused on pediatric therapy, acute care, and home health, exemplifying a strong commitment to patient rehabilitation.

From 1998 to 2022, Amy had the honor of mentoring and homeschooling her daughters through Classical Conversations for 10 years. During those years Amy worked as a Support Manager for Classical Conversations for five years, expanding the homeschool community to three facilities and over 150 students while leading a 9th-grade class for three years. Amy at that same time moved into a leadership role with their family office creating new processes and as Chair of the Family Office Twelve Oaks Investment Committee, she oversees corporate governance and is responsible for preserving and growing assets according to each client’s Investment Policy Statement. Additionally, she serves the Griffin Family Foundation, focusing on intentional funding to nonprofits aligned with their giving policy. Since 2010, Amy has been an active member of the Proverbs 31 Ministry Board of Directors, serving as Chairman, on the Finance Committee, and as a member of the Donor Development and Board Development Committees. She is also an advisory member of the Mite Organization. With expertise in investing, leadership, team building, and problemsolving, Amy is passionate about making a meaningful impact in both personal and professional arenas.

Joseph Johnson

Director of Project Management

With a passion for transforming raw land into thriving communities, Joseph has more than twenty years of experience entitling commercial, multifamily, residential, and redevelopment projects throughout the southeast. Joseph holds degrees in both law and construction management that he draws from to lead multidisciplinary teams while navigating complex construction, financial, or regulatory environments.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Joseph is deeply committed to community engagement and serves on the Spartan Booster Club Board for Scintilla Charter Academy and trustee at First Methodist Church of Valdosta. When not thinking about real estate, he can generally be found watching his two young girls play basketball with his wife, Mae.

Assistant Project Manager

Michael Williams joined Ambling as a development intern at the beginning of 2023. During his time with the company, he gained valuable experience working on large market-rate multifamily and senior housing projects.

These opportunities not only allowed Michael to deepen his understanding of construction, finance, and architecture but also helped him develop a strong foundation in the responsibilities required of an excellent project manager.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael is deeply committed to mission work and has a passion for helping others experience fullness in Christ. After graduating college, he accepted a full-time position as Assistant Project Manager at Ambling, where he is eager to continue growing both personally and professionally while contributing to meaningful and impactful developments.

Tim Palmieri, CPA

Vice President of Investment Management

As Vice President of Investment Management, Tim is responsible for the identification, acquisition, and development of real estate investment opportunities. He oversees the financial analysis, underwriting, valuations, and due diligence during the development and/or acquisition/disposition process.

He is instrumental in developing relationships with lending institutions, partners/shareholders, and financial consultants. He orchestrated the merger and acquisition of an over 40 property affordable housing portfolio based in the southeast. He assisted the CEO and CFO in negotiating and raising private equity to recapitalize and position the company for future opportunities.

Tim coordinates and assists in refinancing, renovating, repositioning, market rate conversions, and partner buyouts of owned assets which resulted in value creation of over $500 million. He also assisted in the disposition of approximately 60 properties with gross sales of over $400 million. He is a well-respected multifamily executive with over 25 years of experience in accounting, tax, asset management, development, and property management.

Prior to joining the company, Palmieri was a Senior Audit Manager with a top ten CPA firm specializing in real estate. He was responsible for the annual audits and tax returns of over 1,000 real estate partnerships during each busy season. During his tenure with the firm, Tim became an expert in Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax-Exempt Bonds, HUD, and affordable housing. He also led a highly skilled team of over 25 professionals in completing these tasks and other consulting engagements for real estate owners and developers.

Throughout his career, Tim has exhibited an unwavering passion for real estate, coupled with an ability to discern opportunities within the ever-evolving market landscape. His commitment to excellence, combined with a consistently proven track record of success has firmly established him as a respected professional within the multifamily and senior housing real estate industry.

Travis Ismir

Director of Development for Park Terrace

Travis graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 2018. He began his career in the affordable housing industry with Oracle Consulting Services, where he specialized in site selection.

Travis currently serves as the Director of Development for Park Terrace Companies, having been with the company since its inception. As Director of Development, Travis is responsible for site selection and acquisition, contract negotiation, managing third parties, assembling LIHTC applications, securing project funding and post-award project management.

Travis lives in Orlando, FL with his wife and three dogs where they enjoy cheering for the Seminoles, spending time at the beach, and traveling
