Leadership Team
- Kevin King – Chief Executive Officer
With over 30 years in architecture, real estate development, and consulting, Kevin King leads BLDG Real Estate with a unique blend of design expertise and mission-driven leadership. As a former Principal at Ambling, he has overseen major projects across senior living, student housing and market-rate multifamily, and charter schools. Kevin’s approach is rooted in service, partnership-building, and a deep commitment to impactful community development. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
- Thompson Gooding – Chief Operations Officer
Thompson brings two decades of real estate and development expertise to BLDG Real Estate, including leadership roles in student housing and affordable housing across the Southeast. A former Principal and Division President at Ambling’s Park Terrace Development, he has managed projects from site selection through LIHTC financing, construction, and operations. Thompson has successfully secured both 9% and 4% tax credits, historic credits, and public-private funding. He holds a B.S. in Building Construction and a Certificate in Engineering Entrepreneurship from Georgia Tech.
- Amy King – Chief Cultural Officer
Amy King brings a rich background in communications, leadership, and nonprofit governance to BLDG Real Estate. She holds a degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wesleyan College and a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Valdosta State University. With experience in pediatric therapy and acute care, Amy transitioned into leadership roles within her family office, managing corporate governance and investment oversight. She also serves on several nonprofit boards, including Proverbs 31 Ministry and the Mite Organization. Amy is passionate about fostering team culture, leadership development, and community impact within the vision of BLDG Real Estate.
